Here is a list of things you will need to provide your bookkeeper or accountant on a monthly basis. This information will help your accountant to:
- reconcile your bank account
- generate an income statement
- generate a balance sheet
- manage your general ledger
Accounting records check-list:
[ ] Bank statement and any cancelled cheques for all business accounts
[ ] All invoices you billed to your customers
[ ] All unpaid invoices that are still payable
[ ] All paid invoices (bills) by cheque
[ ] Bills paid by Internet, cash or credit card
[ ] Copy of credit card statement
[ ] Copy of all tax forms and correspondence
[ ] New employee information
[ ] Loan statements
[ ] Payroll reports
[ ] Miscellaneous
